Ruffled Tuxedo Shirt

The ruffled tuxedo shirt is a standard tuxedo shirt with a "puffed up" look to the front of the shirt. Usually this material goes along the front side where the buttons run down the shirt. Some models have it mostly "ruffled" at the very top of the shirt near the collars.

This look was very popular in the 1970's and 1980's and is great for the person trying to imitate the disco look of that era. Many online and brick and mortar vintage stores have large selections of this style of tux shirt.

The ruffled tux shirt is usually made out of polyester or some sort of polyester/cotton mix. This shirt does not wrinkle easy and is usually washing machine friendly.

Wear this shirt to the disco or to costume parties, but never to a serious event. This style of tuxedo shirt is just way too outdated to realistically wear to an important event anymore.
